At JUMO, you can find out what it is like to work in electrical engineering, information technology, glass technology, and metal technology, as well as within the commercial side of the business, and gain some initial practical experience.
During the organized placement in our company, you can gain some initial experience of the industrial side of the business and get to know the corresponding skilled occupations. You'll also have the opportunity to speak to our electrical engineering apprentices about their experiences. Each week you'll get to know different areas of the manufacturing business, as well as our Training Center. While there you will manufacture a component, which you'll be able to take home with you.

During the organized placement in our company, you can gain some initial experience of working in the industrial side of the business and get to know the skilled occupation of glass apparatus mechanic in our company. You'll be placed in the manufacturing area of the Analytical Measurement Technology department and will be shown how to manufacture glass apparatuses and hollow glass. You'll also have the opportunity to get to grips with the processing of glass, plastics, metals, and glass ceramics using a forced-air burner.

You'll also have the opportunity to speak to our apprentices about their experiences. And you'll learn about different areas of the IT sector.

You'll also have the opportunity to speak to our commercial apprentices about their experiences. Each week you'll get to know different departments, such as Sales, Work Preparation, Marketing etc. In each one you will work on tasks of a typically commercial nature.

The internship lasts for 1 year and takes place during the first year of your specialist course (start 01.08.). The time you'll spend completing the internship and attending lessons will be allocated as follows:
Your internship will take place the in various administrative areas of JUMO. During your internship, you can acquire your first practical experience and get to know the apprenticeship as an industrial clerk (m/f/d). You will gain an insight into typical commercial activities in, for example, our purchasing, sales or invoicing departments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to talk to our commercial trainees and attend seminars and training sessions tailored to apprentices and interns together with them.
No matter whether before or during your course of study: JUMO offers practical experience for specialist courses and university degrees.
JUMO imparts practical knowledge relating to different areas, such as mechanical engineering
JUMO can provide you with interesting tasks and projects relating to the various subject areas. You can work on these either as part of an internship, or dissertation or thesis. If you are a working student, you also have the opportunity of gaining practical experience at our company.
